Battlefield Play4Free

Battlefield Play4Free is now out in open beta. I did play Battlefield 1942 quite much back in the days. Having played the closed beta some, the game gives me much of the same battlefield feeling as the original Battlefield 1942. I haven't played the recent Battlefield games in multiplayer, so I can't compare it to the multiplayer in any of the Battlefield games after Battlefield 2.

It is a free to play game, and so far you don't have that big handicap using the starter weapons. But if you like playing the game you would probably end up spending some money on it to get weapons that are slightly better then the starter weapons. You can also pay money to play dressup. :-)

The balance between newcomers and veterans may be a problem later, as you get access to extra skills as you play.

To celebrate the open beta have EA released an open beta launch trailer.

Battlefield 3

The hype for Battlefield 3 is revving up it's engines for take off. This week was a video called "Fault Line Series Episode 1: Bad Part of Town" with about 2 minutes and 30 second of in game footage released by Dice/EA. Seems to be apart of a series as the video promises an other part 16. March.

This is the first time a video with more than just glimpses of in game footage is released. Because of this and that everybody (including me) agrees that it looks very good, has the release created quite a stir across the internets.

I'm even starting to notice that the hype is getting a hold on me. The urge to get the game is getting noticeable, and I'm looking forward to the next installment in the Fault Line Series.

A good site for official information on everything Battlefield seems to be the Battlefield blog. This entry that shows some old design documents and concepts for Battlefield 1942 brings back old memories.

Age Of Conan

My second raiding character in Age Of Conan after PoM is HoX. Here are a little guide I recently wrote for my guild forums about how I raid with my HoX.

This is not an ultimate guide on how to play HoX in AoC. It's a description on how I feat, perk and play my HoX in T2 raids. When I follow this setup I do good damage in comparison to the rest of the raid, especially on trash mobs. If the players on other top dps classes are a bit lazy I can even top the damage list.

Age Of Conan

Some time ago I wrote a little guide about raiding with the Priest of Mitra class in the MMORPG Age of Conan. It was originally posted in the forums of my AoC guild. I have included the guide here, as it may be interesting for others.

This is not an ultimate guide to playing Priest of Mitra in AoC. It concentrates on what I think is the most essential for a healing focused PoM in PvE raids.

Updated 23/2-13: This post is obsolete, as there has been a revamp of the PoM class since it was written. I have written a new post about raiding with PoM in AoC.
